What Wooddale builds

When a standard window or door won't work, that's where we fit.

Wooddale is a custom woodworking shop first. We build around the opening, the architecture and the design intent instead of forcing a stock catalog product into the project.

About Wooddale

More than 30 years of Northwest window-making experience.

Wooddale Windows specializes in replicating original wood windows—preserving and upgrading the common and unusual sizes, profiles and designs found in buildings from years past.

Wooddale's roots in the craft reach back to 1977, when its founder began learning wood window restoration through an apprenticeship with a local window union. That knowledge has grown through decades of hands-on restoration, replication and custom fabrication across the Pacific Northwest.

From a single-car garage to a trusted custom shop.

Wooddale began in 1994 in a single-car garage, responding to steady requests from family, friends and homeowners. Five years of growth took the company to historic Oregon City—and eventually to its current Portland shop.

Wooddale's work spans buildings dating from 1847 through 1980, from Craftsman homes to historic landmarks. The goal is always the same: make new work belong to the building.
